1. Definitions

• "Service" refers to the LensClub website, subscription platform and related services.
• "User" or "you" refers to any individual who creates an account or uses the Service.
• "Subscription" refers to a recurring delivery plan for contact lenses through LensClub.

2. Account Registration and Responsibilities

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use our services.
• You are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information, including your contact lens prescription.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Subscription Terms

Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle. You will be charged the applicable subscription fee unless you cancel or pause before the renewal date.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are given for partial billing periods.

Pausing

You may pause your subscription for up to 3 months. During the pause period, no deliveries will be made and no charges will apply.

Changes

You may change your lens type, delivery interval, or other subscription details at any time. Changes take effect from the next delivery cycle.

4. Ordering and Payment

• All prices are displayed in Norwegian Kroner (NOK) and include VAT (MVA) unless otherwise stated.
• Payment is processed securely through Stripe. We accept credit and debit cards, including Visa and Mastercard.
• An order confirmation email is sent after successful payment. The order is binding once confirmation is sent.
• Prices may vary by country. The applicable price is shown at checkout based on your delivery address.

5. Prescription Requirements

Contact lenses are medical devices. A valid prescription from a licensed optician or ophthalmologist is required to order contact lenses through LensClub.

• Your prescription must be current and not expired at the time of order.
• LensClub reserves the right to verify your prescription with the issuing optician before processing your order.
• You are responsible for ensuring your prescription is up to date. LensClub is not liable for orders placed with an incorrect or expired prescription.

6. Returns and Refunds

Our return policy is in accordance with the Norwegian Consumer Purchases Act (Forbrukerkjopsloven) and the Right of Withdrawal Act (Angrerettloven).

• You have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date you receive your order.
• Contact lenses must be returned unopened and in their original sealed packaging.
• Refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving the returned items, using the same payment method.
• Defective products are replaced or refunded at no additional cost, including return shipping.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the LensClub website, including text, graphics, logos, images and software, belongs to LensClub or our licensors, and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Norwegian law:

• LensClub is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
• Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you have paid to LensClub in the 12 months preceding the claim.
• Nothing in these terms limits our liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or liability that cannot be excluded under Norwegian law.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway.

Any disputes arising from these terms shall first be attempted resolved through dialogue. If no resolution is reached, disputes shall be settled by the Norwegian courts, with Oslo District Court (Oslo tingrett) as the agreed venue.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through a notice on our website at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
